As an experienced HR Director, I am very much a generalist with a strong employee relations and employment law/training background and have been consulting for over 20 years. My HR career started in the City within the legal sector, and I then spent several years working for a national firm of Chartered Accountants.
I consider myself to be someone who quickly builds strong, trusted and lasting relationships with clients, becoming very much part of their team; be that working alongside them on-site, on projects or providing support and guidance at arm’s length.
I have extensive experience working with multi-site operations and in helping businesses restructure/reorganise to manage their people in the most effective way. I create and deliver a variety of practical HR workshops for Line Managers and have recruited and often find myself acting as a mentor to in-house HR teams.

I previously worked as a Talent Agent, representing award-winning Actors and Creatives and re-trained in HR, obtaining my Associate Membership of the CIPD.
I want to proactively strengthen the HR presence within the Theatre landscape, pairing a practical approach with an appreciation of the nuances and intricacies of our industry. I believe effective HR support should be pro-active, preventative and specific to our sector.
I want to help individuals and organisations be the best employers they can be alongside their primary role as successful Producers/Casting Directors/Agents and more!
I am also one of the founders of The Grey Area Theatre Company; set up in 2020 to create work for artists during the pandemic. Since then we have produced multiple Off-West End productions and been nominated for multiple WhatsOnStage Awards.
